Welcome to Dove + Feather

Welcome! Thanks for stepping into this space and joining in. This has been thought about for years, talked about many nights and finally live. Maybe you’re thinking “just another blog”, “so overdone” or something similar. But this is an outlet, and a moodboard of our visions, and things we’ve experienced and created. And maybe we are totally crazy, but we are giving this a shot simply because we've felt led to for awhile and together, this is our outlet.

You’ll mainly see posts by me (Dana) since Matt is a tad busy with med school, but I promise you he’s always giving direction and casting vision. So here’s a little more about us: Matt and I both went to school for science and have our degree in biology. We graduated undergrad in May 2015 and Matt started medical school September 2015. Life has been a whirlwind ever since. Many thought were were crazy,, but we were engaged in July 2016 and married in January 2017 (yes, 5 months!) and haven’t thought twice about it.

Ever since we dated, we always were working on projects, bringing DIYs to life, or thinking about vision for things in our local church and dreaming about what we’d put in our home one day. We were living in Philadelphia after we got married and had so many visions and dreams that we knew had to be captured somewhere. We prayed about it, thought about how we were going compile our thoughts and here we are with this blog. If you’re curious about why we named it Dove + Feather, read about that in a post this week!

We hope you’ll stick around and keep learning more about us. We’re pretty convinced that relationships are built on authenticity and will always do our best to keep it as real as possible - because the reality is, we’re imperfect, always a work in progress but living our life through the lens of grace and stoked that you’re joining along for the adventure.
